The shell
Premium 600D Cordura across the body gives you the abrasion resistance you actually need in a slide, and it is paired with strategically placed air mesh panels rather than being sealed shut. The construction is 100% waterproof, so monsoon season stops being a reason to leave the bike at home.
The liner is the trick
A removable Cordura inner liner is what turns one jacket into three. Liner in for cold mornings, liner out for warm afternoons, shell alone in the rain. And when you pull it out mid-ride, the rear storage pocket is sized to swallow it, along with gloves, rain gear or whatever else you are carrying. That single detail is the difference between a versatile jacket and a jacket you have to plan around.
Ventilation you control
Two front air vents let you dump heat when you are stuck in traffic, and a rear mesh ventilation panel keeps air moving through instead of pooling against your back. Combined with the mesh panels, it means the jacket breathes without giving up the waterproof layer.
Storage and fit
Large dual-access utility pockets open from the top and the side, which sounds like a small thing until you are trying to reach a phone at a fuel stop with gloves on. Adjustable waist straps pull the jacket in so it fits your frame rather than flapping at speed, and that matters for safety as much as comfort.
